control-center using dconf-editor instead of gconf-editor. Open dconf-
editor and navigate to org - gnome - settings-daemon - plugins -

That section of the documentation has to do with the *library* being
designed for embedded use, not the *upstream source* designing around
embedding a library. It's referring to libraries such as some elements
of the GNU toolchain, which are specifically intended to be embedded.

The crash happens towards the end of the installation. I tried it twice
with the same result. I choose Install Ubuntu instead of Try Ubuntu
in both times.
