this software better. This particular crash has already been reported
and is a duplicate of bug #851532, so is being marked as such.
I had the same problem on oneiric.
The solution, which worked for me, after looking at other similar (segfault)
bugs was to reinstall gnome-orca (I had removed it not so long ago). I also
switched the universal access screen reader and typing assistant on and off.
Synaptic then started as it
200_channel_segfaults.diff has been dropped in Debian package 1.2.11-3,
Ubuntu has 1.2.11-6 now (the first in the 1.2.11 series).

an issue with a gnome-shell extension that needed to be updated. Since

I just want to add that I'm encountering this issue with a Debian
Squeeze (Xen: 4.0.1) dom0. I'm using LVM volumes to store my disk images
(phy:/dev/Data/foobar,xvda,w), and have installed the domU using
netinstall. The install works fine, the error only happens when booting
the domU for the first
