I have this bug as well. Additionally, the whole screen is garbled until
I type in my password and log back in after the computer wakes up. At
that point the launcher is still garbled until I mouse over it.

are providing proxy configuration url in system settings Network, its
not taking those settings. It only works when you set a single
server:port proxy and apply it system wide. PAC settings should also

This is new as of today's updates in precise. Every so often (but
frequently) gnome-shell with hang when accessing overview.
Dropping down to console and killing gnome-shell restarts it and I'm
able to carry on. But it's damn frustrating ;)

The problem here is that the Unix semantics of groups are rather non-
obvious. Each Unix process has a primary group ID and an array of of
supplementary group IDs; these are *normally* the group ID and
supplementary groups of the process's owning user, but things like
pam_group cause that not to
