Actually the hyphenation of launcher icon labels is still incorrect, or rather
nonexisting, so it could use a proper hyphenation support library. For example,
I see strings like Archívumkezel\nő (should be Archívumkeze-\nlő), GParted
partíciószerkes\nztő (this sz in Hungarian is a digraph, so
I installed a fresh version of 12.04 (dated 17th Feb). At install I
unticked the download updates while installing.
Once installed I logged into Ubuntu and selected Updated Manager from
the Dash. That didn't load and instead I got this error.

I managed a temporary work-around by downgrading to this version:
This is happening to me too and I just upgraded to Precise Pangolin from
Oneiric. In my Oneiric everything worked fine but now this bug appeared.
I am running on AMD64
