I do not relate this bug definitely to problems with xfce4-power-manager.

If postfix (2.9.1) runs in non chroot, everything works (i think) but mails
that come from fetchmail trigger the same error.

this software better. This particular crash has already been reported
and is a duplicate of bug #954355, so is being marked as such.
To help us debug this, can you please:
- remove fglrx again from the system
- pull up the grub menu by holding down 'shift' at boot
- edit the *first* boot option (not the recovery option) to remove the
'splash' and 'vt.handoff=7' options from the boot command
- boot, and run 'apport-collect
Also, it would be helpful if you would upgrade to the Ubuntu 12.04 Beta
and confirm whether or not the issue is reproducible with the current
version.

I think you can fix it manually (if you still haven't got the update) by
replacing second lang (without quotes) with lang_code (again,
without quotes) in line 342 of /usr/lib/python2.7/dist-
packages/aptdaemon/progress.py. Additionally, you will need to replace
country with region in line 349 to
1101 - 1200 of 2001 matches
