My findings are that Firefox 13 has resolved all the problems related to
this forum post, and also it is tons quicker than earlier versions.

My problem was more specifically with Adobe Acrobat files open. This is
where I first noted my problem seems to have been fixed. I have also
tried with Youtube and scrolling works perfectly fine, even when the
Youtube Video has focus (ie, after you clicked on pause and play etc)

Had just logged in, started xfreerdp, firefox, nautilus and a terminal.
Then X went away, returning to say there was a problem and ask if I
wanted to run in basic graphics - then froze.
I Alt-F1'd to a console and dumped dmesg to the attached file, tried to
switch back to X

neither of those, what ever you are doing is complex over that, I'm
using 2 screens sometimes and I'm changing session regularly to test
things on GNOME classic, neither of those issues lead to the bug

Workaround for this bug:
Click on the port text-box. From now on you don't see what you are doing
any more since the + and - buttons are consuming all space. But the
text-box is still there, you just can't see it. So you blindly do:
* press Control-A to select all text in the box

there might be a quite simple solution to our problem:
I just removed the old xorg.conf file (which was still there due to all the
upgrades) and the mouse problem disapperead..
Does this also work for you?
P.S. For my earlier post, I should at that I didn't install the nvidia-
driver,
