Just FYI, the fix that is going into trunk requires some things to be
present in /etc/cloud/cloud.cfg. I'm not sure fixing this is worth a
conffile update, so we might have to just leave this as a Won't Fix for
quantal unless we do something clever, and clever usually leads to
regressions.. :-P
From my point of view, probably not very. We (= Canonical IS) are
running 12.04 LTS plus packages from the Ubuntu Cloud Archive. I don't
believe we'll do many more folsom+argonaut deployments before
grizzly+bobtail arrives, and in any case it's sufficiently well
documented internally that it's not

I've just tested it and this has been fixed. The problem is language
pack update with the fix has not been released as a stable release
update yet. Probably there should be one relased for 12.04.2.
In the mean time you can get the newest langpack with this fix included
by executing
Having the same problem here on 12.10 with all updates installed. I fixed my
fstab (one filesystem didn't have the check set) and did a touch /forcefsck.
After the reboot, the message is still there, stating that my filesystems will
be checked on reboot. However, I checked my filesystems, and
post the output of alsa-info.sh
