I think it was on Mon or Tues this week, when I ran the usually updates
that come from the update manager. Now at random times the screen freezes

Original liloconfig creates lilo.conf with empty per-image section.
After applying recommended patch the liloconfig generates correct lilo.conf,

Ububtu installer generates lilo.conf reffering to symlinks in
Unsetting modules does not solve this bug. It has to be considered a big
usability issue.
Could you please try some applications like taskcoach or cryptkeeper by

After restoring a maximized window, no mouse input taken

Clicking on a button to close it does nothing, trying to drag and drop it does

I experience the same error several times a day. So far I haven't been
able to identify what causes the problem, but in the past 4 days I had
like 20 crashes. In these cases screen locks up for ~5 seconds than
crash report window pops up, but otherwise I can continue to work. Every
once in a while
The new rsyslog package has been running overnight under stress test and
is still performing as expected. I'm marking this one verification-
done since no regression seems present.
