This is hapening to me too. Plus, because I use btrfs, when I run out of
space I can't even delete files. Only a full system reboot can bring the
system back to workable conditions.

The feature was dropped from the resolvconf package in Ubuntu 13.04. The
bind9 maintainers have been invited to add a similar feature to support
BIND 9. Your contribution may help to convince them to take action.
Until this feature actually appears in bind9 you will have to implement
it locally
I've went back to Ubuntu 12.04 and the issue finally is resolved.

Public bug reported:
I'm using Ubuntu 13.10 dev with lxde-common 0.5.0-4ubuntu4. Since Ubuntu
changed to systemd-logind I'm missing the standby and hibernation entry
in lxde-logout.
** Affects: lxde-common (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
** Package changed: lxpanel
Likely a fix in font metadata handling since the old version, would need
deeper investigation in the font metadata ...
** Package changed: ubuntu = libreoffice (Ubuntu)

Thanks for reporting - it was quite obvious once I saw the stack trace
:-)
