services and confusing interaction with the init.d
I've seen multiple reports involving the samba, smbd and nmbd
services, confusion in their behavior for starting, stopping,
restarting, reloading etc, and in interaction between upstart jobs,
init.d scripts and the service command.
I think these all have the same root cause, which stems from the

on cpu greater then the level1 KVM had allocated to it.
base KVM had 1 cpu, juju was asking for three:
juju add-machine --constraints mem=3G root-disk=20G cpu-cores=3
if we modify the base KVM to have 3 cpus the time drops
The impetus to remove chkrootkit is a (still embargoed) issue.
The output from such a tool can never be conclusive. No tool can report
this host is free of rootkits. When an administrator is suspicious the
better suggestion is to save the system image for further inspection and

Currently I am running Kubuntu x64 14.04 LTS on Asus G750JX laptop and
just until recently had been plagued by exactly the same bug with my
Sound Blaster HD USB. Upgrading to a newer kernel and/or installing the
latest unstable pulseaudio proved to decrease the probability of

Hi, I tested it on Dell OptiPlex 9030 AIO with 64-bit Ubuntu 14.04, but it
doesn't work.
The touchscreen remaps to the whole extended screen.
I tried to re-login, reboot the system, and re-plug the hdmi cable, the symptom
is the same.
