I tried running qemu-system-x86 -cpu qemu64 with tcg and kvm, and
compared cpu flags. There are 2 flags present in kvm case which are not
present in tcg case: de and x2apic, all other flags are identical (nx is
present in both). But enabling these two flags explicitly does not
help, win still
This is a package dependency issue and not a kernel issue. Once
davidpbritton installed 'qemu-kvm' he was able to install using virt-
install just fine.
So overall either the packages davidpbritton was installing weren't
sufficient to use qemu with KVM, or we have a dependency problem in the
apt history.log for packages installed on top of base system. Note that
only the last entry was done by me, the others were done in preparation
of the image:

We already have enabled CONFIG_KGDB, CONFIG_KGDB_SERIAL_CONSOLE,

This bug bugs me as well in 14.04 on all three family computers. My
headsets pair, but bluetooth doesn't show up as an option in the Sound
Settings. Irritating!

Yesterday night downloaded and installed suggested kernel. I must say
that in the meawhile and before rebooting systemd also got updated to
the latest at that time. The outcome was worst than before. There is no
way I can enter the disk encrytpion password anymore. Tried previous
