It seems like the logic is probably good, but it doesn't appear to solve
the issue for burning a 14.04 USB key from 14.10... Though it may not be
as much of an issue as the other way around. Just copying the files in

I have my window buttons set to "drag and drop". When I drag one of
these buttons, the icon for the whisker menu turns black. It stays black
until I hover over it or click on it.
This is only a cosmetic issue, but it's still really annoying.

I can't reproduce any of these problems using Kubuntu 14.04. I suspect
your issue is related to something about how Unity and PyQt4 interact.
Can you try another PyQt4 based application, perhaps calibre, and see if

I experience this with a HP Stream 13 and a clean 14.10 install. I tried
the 60-persistent-storage.rules in #16, but they did not fix the
problem, which I saw about 15 seconds into startup on dmesg.
It may have reduced the occurrences as I only saw it happen once.

FWIW - We saw this too in our automated OpenStack charm testing (UOSCI).
Our work around is to overwrite known_hosts with our base known_hosts
file on every build, on every jenkins slave. A bit of a hack, but it
does the trick.

Is it possible that the attempt to log this error message tries to open
a file, and fails because ...wait for it, there's no more open files
allowed for the ibus/glib2 using process? (given a default ulimit -n of
1024 for this process?). And that all you need to do is to force ibus
to use 1024 fil
I have installed kernel 3.19 as requested.
Testing pm-suspend and GUI suspend gives a similar result but I couldn't
see a pattern: sometimes reboots at first atempt to awake, sometimes
resumes fine a couple of times.
