The issue started with installing of the 15.10 iso, as downloaded from
the Ubuntu servers, I believe it's a version of 4. 2. 0. kernel. The
last update that had the same problem was 4.2.0-21-lowlatency. Now I
have installed the latest kernel, 4.4.0. as you suggested, and the
problem is solved,
P.S. I'm sorry, but I can't add the suggested tag, it is not listed in
the status list, so I added "fix-committed". If it is not correct one,
please correct it. Thank you!

That's not the point. The point is that the softs that virtualbox guest
additions need are not installed by default in Kubuntu whereas they are
in others Ubuntu flavor. There is no real reason behind this and the
pre-installation of these softs make the installation of virtualbox
guest additions

Faced the problem today on a cheap surfpad from TrekStor. It is the
"TrekStor SurfTab wintron 7.0".
I had to copy the right EFI loader from a debian stick to my ubuntu
install stick.
Wouldn't it be much easier, when Ubuntu would just provide both EFI
loaders, which in turn use the same boot.cfg

had bigger problems today in the morning after turning computer freshly
on so filed a new bug already ( Bug 93393 ). when i freshly turned on
the computer and booted with kernel 4.4 the 2nd display did not get
initialized right, when booting with kernel 4.3 first and then rebooting
it seems to
the previous warnings are gone but now i had these 2 warnings when
coming back from lunch, so guess it happened during turning the displays
back on from sleep state.

I found the cause. Apparently, verbiste is not a dependency of verbiste-
gnome anymore. So, when you try to install Verbiste through the Ubuntu
Software Center, you end up with a broken installation.
