I just installed kubuntu 14.10 (the newer one doesn't work at ALL for me, not
even as 'try out' from CD)
and ran into the same thing at some point. That is: the mouse can be moved and
interact with open
terminals and the keyboard works. Also auto hiding panels appear when the mouse
touches

bios configured; that is set my bios differently so I can copy all files
from the maxtor 750g and maxed out 80g and 120 g seagates. I've just
acknowledged I may be 76 but I'm a noob as far as how to get my WD 1tbit
