Hi, tried to run an update. The main files were related to python and
KiCAD. During installation of KiCAD the PC crashed and returned to the
purle login screen. I couldnt login so restarted. Then tried again and

The new kernel fixed all of my FN keys on a G752VS, however the Elantech

Yes, I have swap on LVM, of which the PVs are on a crypted fs.
So:
- /dev/nvme0n1p3 --> cryptsetup(luks) --> /dev/mapper/nvme0n1p3_crypt
- /dev/mapper/nvme0n1p3_crypt is the physical volume in my LVM setup
- swap is a logical volume in the LVM
So that would be quite a curious bug, caused by

I followed the instructions at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed .
I did the "Selective upgrading from -proposed" section before "enabling
proposed", then installed 4.10.0-22.24 via synaptic.
This went smoothly for me. Thanks @ddstreet for the link.

I've experienced apparently random freezes on 17.04 (kernel 4.10.0-21).
It appears to happen when Chrome is active, although Chrome is probably
active all the time. There's nothing out of the ordinary in kern.log,
but syslog has:

I constantly get an error message, i.e. system error and it points to
libreoffice-writer. Since I am new to this forum, I am not quite sure,
