Also present in my 18.04. of comment #101 has solved the issue of the

i386 is available up to the latest release, just no Desktop ISO images to
slowly fade it out.
You can and should be able to test it with a Bionic/Cosmic.
To be able to follow your usual deployment path with an ISO you can as
well use a Xenial 32bit ISO and "do-release-upgrade" to Bionic from
