I have this exact same problem too. Upgraded from 16.04 (which ran just
fine) to 18.04, now get a 30 second delay before boot, with this "failed
to connect to lvmetad. Falling back to device scanning Gave up waiting
for suspend/resume" error.
Not sure what help I can be at this point, but should
I literally waited an HOUR to get to my Camera directory on my Samsung
S7 (Android 9) and FINALLY got to the files. I did not have any
parenthesis error as mentioned above.
HOWEVER, this was EXTREMELY slow... wow. Just to do file copies. still
took a while to pull 2Gb of pics and vids. But the

Would this bug effect WoL functionality?
I've not experienced connectivity problems after resuming from suspend
(using power button) but I only log into one account and use a pre-
assigned IP address.
Bios and WoL flags are set correctly withing netplan yaml config file
but I cannot get the

Thanks. By the way, the same problem is not unique to the communitheme
snap. I can reproduce the problem with the standard Ubuntu-Wayland
session (with the default Ubuntu theme), while themes work correctly in
the Ubuntu Xorg session.
