Looks good. With this kernel, wlan works just fine. I can connect
normally to the wlan networks.
rfkill now shows:

@James Page, I also use neutron ml2 ovs driver. I understand that in
default nova policy, only administrator can spawn instance without any
interface, but if someone else can "tune" the policy, he/she will have a
problem.

PCManFM crashes frequently on
I had that problem with my Asus UX510UX and Ubuntu 16.04 LTS and 18.04
- shorly after starting/resuming the laptop, the fans would start
running on full speed and never stop. Interestingly, thereat were
periods, during which the problem disappeared. I tried everthing I could
think of
or just 'apt install xserver-xorg-hwe-16.04'
CFL still isn't officially supported on xenial. And i915.alpha_support
is not needed with 4.15.

Sounds like this is another setting which should be in Settings and not
hidden in gnome-tweaks. Because generally if a setting is more easily
adjustable then nobody complains about its default value :)

Short of predicting the future, I think the best answer is that more
keen Ubuntu users should test the next version of Ubuntu before its
release. That way we can discuss/prioritize/fix accessibility issues
before they get released to the wider world.
