I feel so sorry, but I did NOT continue with 20.04 - Focal Fossa, yet
downgraded to 18.04 via backup.
I couldn't even find out, where GnomeTweaks > Fonts is because EVERY SYSTEM
FONT was unreadable. I won't try to upgrade this machine furthermore. Please,
mark this thread as solved / unsolved.

Thank you, I was able to do it with the sudo more FILENAME command. I
found a couple of crash reports on the site. blueman, gnome-shell, gdb,
nautilis. Everything listed except the blueman crashes happened before
my switch to cinnamon. I am unable to access the data, but I will search
the web.

An update to the situation.
1. I reconfirmed the valid checksum of the ISO file used - yep all
good.
2. I erased and reformatted the USB used to restore the ISO file to, in the
failed install.
Note that it was a brand new 32GB device used in the first attempt.
3. Restored the ISO
This is really unbelievable.
Ubuntu is often used by educators. Educators use Scilab.
But the Scilab packages are broken in 18.04 LTS (bug 1884277 ), in 19.10 (EOL,
bug 1877234) and in upcoming 20.04 LTS too (this bug 1870813 ).

This is really unbelievable.
Ubuntu is often used by educators. Educators use Scilab.
But the Scilab packages are broken in 18.04 LTS, in 19.10 (EOL, bug 1877234)
and in upcoming 20.04 LTS too (bug 1870813 ).

One does not require zfs-dkms if you are using the 5.4 ubuntu kernel

xinput map-to-output "Weida Hi-Tech CoolTouch® System" eDP-1
