Can I set a breakpoint perhaps in the offending code and then tweak the
local variables in such a way to get it working? I know how to debug

Hi all, I found that adding the correct region to the /etc/default/crda
file resolved my 5GHZ woes on the raspi4b ubuntu 20.10. After a reboot
it finally connected to my 5GHZ network. Just putting this out there if
it helps anyone.

This is a systemd/udev bug. We're aware of the CONTAINER_INTERFACE and
it being wrong doesn't mean we need to change LXD to make it similarly
wrong.
LXD containers need to have udevd running to function properly, so you'll need
to undo that change.

Thanks for pointing out the fix. I checked it and it wasn't going to
work for either older or newer kernels, as we wanted the dkms to be able
to be built against either of them.
As I have some experience doing that kind of check for other dkms
packages, inspired by my previous work
Not applicable to "ubuntu" in general, patch is already in every release
after Focal. Just need to pick back to 5.4 in this case.
