updates. So I typed sudo apt-get updates. It did 5 lines:

Thanks Brian and also Chris Guiver for related Bug 192173 I tried that and
afterwards I ran the software updater. It still gives me the message about
partial updates with a choice of either clicking on partial upgrade or
continue. From what I have read, others have had problems with both these
We now have a working solution for some models written in Python, but this is
only a workaround.
It would be nice if someone experienced with Linux drivers could work on a
cleaner solution.

I've tried to boot the Ubuntu 21.04 beta Live CD (AMD64) inside a
Hyper-V Gen 2 Virtual Machine with UEFI Secure Boot (Microsoft UEFI
Certificate Authority) enabled.
The GRUB boot menu loads, and I continue with the default option. I
immediately get a kernel panic
I had this same issue on my first attempt to install 21.04 where I
couldn't install any snaps or open Ubuntu Software. I found that if i
reinstalled and did not use ZFS this did not happen. So I think this is
a bug just with the ZFS install version.

It works the same way but this time enter hit do not goes up on a spreadsheet.
Also I comment the code part which enable numpad through the touchpad
right top corner, F8 seems an handier solution.

Follow-up on my comment #22: I installed a HDMI plug to my Intel NUC.
Then removed the xserver-xorg-video-intel and 20-intel.conf. After
reboot the plug was detected and the visual artifacts were gone.

I'm well aware of the problem. I see lots of reports that produce
discussions that wander off with nothing done, even though there's an
actual fix in the thread. I run a moderately large site that uses
Kerberos extensively, and kerberoized NFS. I have a whole github
repository full of workarounds
To add to this, I have a password also set on grub which I can
successfully enter before this problem occurs. Issue still exists in
kernel 5.8.0-48

I'm having the same problem on a Brother HL-L2370DW printer on 21.04. My
machine has 32GB of memory but has trouble printing longer documents.
After hitting "print", memory usage continues creeps up over a long
period of time and consumes a lot of memory. I believe the OOM killer
