Well, I couldn't figure out how to disable the ubuntu dock, because I
had not ever used the extensions app before, but I used apt to remove it
and then I could not repeat the behavior, however, I did reinstall it,

Doing an install with the current daily-canary/pending iso will produce
an install that contains a sources.list with only 3 source entries, and
only the components 'main' and 'restricted'. Other isos seem fine.
Happens with the "standard" install
The fix for this bug has been awaiting testing feedback in the -proposed
repository for focal for more than 90 days. Please test this fix and
update the bug appropriately with the results. In the event that the
fix for this bug is still not verified 15 days from now, the package
will be removed
