I used this package for customizing a dual boot system, I have installed
it with out any issue on jammy and on impish, its a lot easier then
going in to the grub.d file itself and customizing it every single time
an upgrade3 is made... so the real bug here is the REPLACEMENT of grub.d
every time

I do think this is wayland related, after disabling wayland in GDM it
does appear to work. I disabled it by editing /etc/gdm3/custom.conf.
With wayland disabled, it takes a really long time to show gdm though.

With patched kernel, the rdpru flag will be available in

https://github.com/snapcore/snapd/pull/11680 and
https://github.com/snapcore/snapd/pull/11287 to the my ppa:mvo/tmp for impish
too.
On a minimal impish system (created with autopkgtest-buildvm) I ran:
$ sudo apt-add-repository ppa:mvo/tmp
$
Maybe there are good reasons to keep them as they are, but looking at
the Focal output:
adding the following line to /var/lib/snmp/snmpd.conf:
createUser Z MD5 "XX" DES "Y"
adding the following line to /usr/share/snmp/snmpd.conf:
rouser Z
those conf file paths do not look

Hello Sascha and thanks for this bug report. I can reproduce it using
LXD containers and the same dummy options from the bug description. This
is a regression from Focal and likely from Impish, at least by looking
at the version numbers.

Use
@mardy I would be very surprised if SD card corruption was the issue
here. The cards I'm using for test have had no issues booting any of the
images so far (and typically whenever I've seen SD corruption before
it's usually pretty obvious from boot time).
