It looks as if lucid allows libapache2-mod-php5 and libapache2-mod-passenger to
coexist already.
I believe this was fixed in debian bug #545872, which was included when
passenger2.2.7debian-1 was synced.

It also does not appear to be a problem when running on a separate
machine that automatically connects to my KVM-using libvirt host, only

Thanks for the patch Anton. I was experiencing failures on the order of every 5
minutes,
and I haven't had a crash yet after applying it.
I've created PPA builds of synergy with the patch applied for anyone
else suffering from this.
