not have AIGLX enabled by default (as I understand it) because one has
to install the proprietary drivers before it can handle it. The open
nVidia drivers, which come with Ubuntu, are not that great.

I have this issue on a fully updated edgy firefox. To confirm, if I
manually open firefox and go to the site, everything works (including
https://) until I close it.

in Dapper my machine could suspend to RAM (sleep) without a problem. I
just upgraded to Edgy and it no longer works.
If I suspend to RAM, it suspends as expected. When I try to resume, the
lights turn on as normal, but the display doesn't wake up and nothing
else happens.
Here is my syslog. I suspended at approximately 4 (it says AM, actually
PM) and tried to resume at 8ish. When it froze I powered it off by
holding down the button and then started it up again.

If I select multiple files in Nautilus and select open with decrypt
file then I get a string of Enter Passphrase windows. It would be
great if I could be given one window to enter the passphrase - perhaps
it could list all the files?

Fair enough. I didn't realise when I posted that I was missing system
and user sounds. I do repeat, however, that this is a confusing
situation for users.

Dapper-updates has been returning a zip error message since you asked
for this, but it seems fixed for me anyway. I'm using gnome-media

This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadAlloc (insufficient resources for operation)'.

Every time:
1) open file
2) drag the slider to a point (say, 20 mins)
3) I get a very short (less than a second) bit of sound and then silence while
the time continues to increase, at normal speed, as if the track is playing.
