I've been poking around a little and it appears to me that the parsing error was introduced in the fix for bug 1555646. The fix backported a commit to the upstream libical to do the type validation, but the libical version was changed shortly afterwards to use a generated table, so they won't have noticed that the DURATION case for TRIGGER was missing. Those changes are quite invasive, but simply adding DURATION to the type check might be enough to fix the current problem.
