should never Upgrade a Linux system while running X! The normal way is
to update the sources, apt-get update, apt-get upgrade and reboot,

I upgraded from kernel 2.6.32-32 to 2.6.32-33 on my Lenovo IdeaPad
S10-3s and my touchpad keys stopped working. I was able to do clicks on
the touchpad, but not with the touchpad buttons. After booting 2.6.32-32
again, it worked.

through an SFTP connection. When I open a symbolic link, then change it
and save, it creates me a copy of that file, applying the changes to the
linked one.

No. The is already mounted with uid=1000,umask=0111,dmask=, but if
a file is set read only in the filesystem, it is also write protected
with linux for all users. This especialy happens to the My Documents
and related Windows-System folders, after Windows has done changes to
them. Running
I already checked for the group and it wasn't defined, so I created it,
which fixed the problem for me. I just posted the bug to get it to your
attention, so it can be fixed in the package. Btw I think there's no
need to have a staff group just to put some emacs files in it ;)

permissions and restore, if the file is restored.
If that's impossible, Nautilus shouldn't accept moving trees to the
trash, that have unwritable directories in it.
