I can also confirm this is still a problem with Oneiric. Unity is just spastic, unstable windows, menus, white windows, all of the problems outlined in this bug report remain extant, if not were worse for me after upgrading. It is impossible to use Unity, however fortunately for me Gnome 3 works

Thanks for the suggestion dreamfire. Increasing the Frame Buffer Size in bios to 256MB increased the reported memory on my card to 512MB also. The result is I can now work in unity! (Yay!) Though the problem still exists if I open too many windows, though this is much more manageable now as the
