I installed Peek using Snap and due to all the problems using Snap, the author
of Peek recently pulled support for Snap packages. So the fix to this is
1. Don't use Wayland
2. Use non-snap packages, for instance Flatpak.

from Ubuntu 17.10 and I also never set this shortcut anywhere. I have
always used Super+Space and I have never used the Gnome Tweaks tool
before. Using it to disable the shortcut fixed all the issues and the
shortcuts using Shift
@Markus, that is a great comment. That explains why none of my WebStorm
navigation shortcuts work consistently!

Hi, I did just that before posting this, and things worked smoothly, but
that was not why I posted it. I just thought changing a changed symlink
shouldn't break an upgrade process midway. I would rather see that the

For the first time in some while I booted up Ubuntu to try and provoke

I am wondering if this has nothing to do with Gnome, but it is actually

Seems Acer has a real problem with Ubuntu. On the alpha versions of Hardy I
also didn't get sound, but this got better with the release of the beta. BUT
after resuming from standby/hibernation the sound is gone :(

In the strace there was a mention of some files with the name of Sigur
Rós in them. The file system is UTF-8, but for some reason these files
names have ISO8859-1 or Windows 1252 encoding. This usually makes ls and

I have seen that this bug goes for all the changed menu entries I have.
I though it might be general (affecting *all* parts of the Programs
menu, including Gnome apps), but after checking, it seems as if it just
affects the Wine part of it. Changing any program in the Gnome part will

Just downloaded the absolutely great Hardy Heron, hoping to finally get
a new working version of banshee after failing to get it to compile with
iPod support in Gutsy. But the banshee version shipped with Hardy Heron
Alpha 7 is not showing my iPod Nano!

Sorry, the latest version available for Ubuntu is 2.12.1, and having
gone through the time-consuming process of compiling evolution from
scratch earlier, I don't really feel like doing it again, since I am not
using it anymore. (Yes, because of this bug).
