A hint for users who want to upgrade feisty to gutsy and avoid the problems with the buggy ncpfs from gutsy: It was already posted that using ncpfs 2.2.6-3 (from feisty) solves this problem. Before upgrading feisty to gutsy, I created the file /etc/apt/preferences with the following contents:
