I'm on Xubuntu 11.04 and have this grip on every non-maximized window.
Especially on borderless terminals it looks awful and is of no use for me since
I always resize with Alt+Right mouse drag.
An option to disable this globally would be very much appreciated.

Do you have the setting Preferences Advanced Only download attachments
when opened (IMAP only) unset? I remember having similar error messages when
using encryption on larger messages in conjunction with IMAP.
Please try turn this option off and see if this changes anything.

I never tried minimizing and restoring the windows, but it works! Your
other solution regarding Use pressure-sensitive tablet also works for
me. Since I don't use a tablet, I'll leave this disabled.
But it would still be nice to fix this properly. Thanks elclanrs for the
workaround!

I forgot to mention: I can reproduce by just loggin out of Xfce to GDM
and loggin back in. A reboot helps.
