- the login screen uses US
- after login the indicator at the panel shows Svn (short for Slovenian), but
the effective layout is US

I installed them and now the grub.cfg again has the correct hd1 entry and sdb1.
But it still does not boot each time.
The problem is, that there are 3 scsi devices: sda, sdb and sdc.

ubuntu-10.10-desktop-i386.iso
I inserted a CD into the built in optical unit.

mouse pointer changes shape to the spinning ball.

Both the upper and lower row middle buttons behave as left button.

The menu that appears when left clicking the network applet icon in the
bar at top does not sort the found WLAN network by signal
strength/power.

Ubuntu 10.10 desktop i386 - Live CD
bt8x8 card
After start, gnomeradio puts up a dialog: Could not open /dev/mixer!
And then that is can not open /dev/radio (no wonder, that name is not used by
kernel for ages...)
After I change the radio device to /dev/radio0 gnomeradio starts, and
After the crash remote ssh session also freeze.
The host is still responding to pings, but new ssh connections are not
accepted (no response).
