Reporting the same.
I tried to resize an extended partition, but gparted has the menu item disabled.
In parted it worked without a hitch.
Details:
There was a free space before the extended partition, so I moved
bugs #363532 and #363260 appear to be duplicates.
I agree with making this a hundredpapercuts thing. Annoying...

I just tried a fresh install in VMWare.
After clicking help in gnome-screenshot, it takes 4 seconds for the help window
to appear and then 8 seconds more for the content to appear.
It is a fresh install with defult settings.
This happened on a fresh boot, right after login. No other programs

Resizing a NTFS partition is extremely slow.
According to the progress bar it will take over an hour. (see screenshot)
Windows Disk management can do it in a half minute.
ntfsresize in 10 seconds.

I tried ubuntu-9.04-beta-desktop-i386.iso on vmware and after boot the
taskbar is full of some windows (they have the drawerbox icon, the title is
only ...) and they keep moving (either new ones are continually added or
removed).
The desktop is black and the mouse pointer is the wait one.

- BT does not work
(WLAN works BTW)
Only after installing BT drivers and HP Wireless Assistant into Windows,
I can enable BT and then it works in Ubuntu. At least
I confirm. It still does not work in final 8.10 (i386, the desktop CD).

does gnome-mount -v -b -d /dev/device work correctly?
No, it gives the same error dialog and this in the terminal :

(the old kernel) can handle it just fine.
2.) I know you are all busy, but a DVD-RAM costs a few dollars and it
takes 10 seconds to format it. So you could get all the info you
asked... from yourself.

I have two hard drives.
The first has Windows 2008 installed on it.
I booted the Ubuntu 8.04.1 amd64 CD and installed Ubunto on the second drive
(by selectecing Use entire drive option in the partitioner).
After installation, on boot I get a

- make a fresh install
- start firefox
- goto youtube.com
The youtube page will say it detected that flash is not installed and
offers a link to adobe.com, which offers download of RPM/DEB packages.

frame, which upon clicking triggers the plugin installation.

I just stumbled onto this same issue. At the minimum, the help should be

The term acceleration is used for non-linear mouse movement since decades.

OK, guys, requiring the user to hit a 2 pixel area, while the background moves

to desktop) or right click menu item Extract...
FR (=FileRoller) hangs for about a minute, eating 100% CPU.

Here is how to reproduce it with 8.04 alpha 5 i386 dekstop CD:
- boot the CD
- select menu Places / Computer
- select menu Applications / Accessories / Terminal
- in the file browser windows right click first icon, labeled CD-RW/DVD+RW
Drive and in the popu menu select Eject

This is done in an ugly way.
I just booted 8.04 alpha 5 and I thought it is a bug.
Becasue first the boot menu appears, then a second later the language
menu. Looks like if it detects a spurious press of the F4 (or which one
is it for the lang) key.
I realise it is too late for any changes in

Changing keymap (F3 key) in boot menu to Slovenia does not work.
The 'z' key (first row, between 't' and 'u') prints 'y'.
Tested in the boot options text line.
Germany on the other hand works as expected.

In alpha5 the window is correctly restored.
I tried on the nw8400 latop (vesa) and vmware (vmware0405).

When booted the CD, on the desktop in the menu bar there is a weird icon where
the Firefox icon used to be.
That is right of the System menu and left of the Evolution icon.
The icon looks like a keyboard on a spring.
