1. Open Home folder
2. Right click on problem folder
3 Choose Open With
4. Choose Other Application...

This is a great alternative to cheese which is broken on some lucid
systems. Please package so that bugs such as sound synchronisation have
a better chance of getting fixed. Users are unlikely to join a w mailing
list to resolve issues with wxcam. For how to install wxcam in lucid

The persistant problem since Karmic seems to be partially solved by
reseting puleaudio by moving the puleaudio config files
rm -r ~/.pulse
But in Lucid it this fix failed and it failed to see my hardware. Had to
sudo killall pulseaudio.
If I open pavu volume control, I can see various options

My touchpad and keyboard totally not working. I have a Dell Inspiron
2650. It was working when I installed Lucid, but now even If I boot up
the Lucid install disk, it not working. Not a mechanical failure since I
can use touchpad and keyboard fine with Puppy Live disk
