I have edited my dsdt and fixed my errors. It not only solved this bug but
also my laptop now sleeps and wakes up just fine. This fix is worth a try
IMO.

Jordan Dunn, which kernel is working for you on 8.10? I did a clean
install last night with backports enabled and did not see a 2.6.28
kernel in the updates.

intrepid and installed hardy back on. If you want I can put intrepid back

This bug is very annoying. I have to be in front of the system when it
is booting for it to boot successfully. Also the stupid network manager
is horrible in maintaining vpn connections!!! It shows as connected but
often fails to open any webpage :( Looks like i better install hardy

My laptop does not resume after suspending to RAM. The keyboard freezes
and the only option is to do a hardy reboot. Also during the bootup
