Can anyone advise how I determine the firmware version for the RT2860
card (/lib/firmware/rt2860.bin). The file doesn't match md5 chksum to
the most recent rev available at ralinktech.com, i.e. v26.
rt2860.bin oneiric md5=75a1da3caa0b1c95e81dfba207f834c6
rt2860.bin
Just to add my scenario: Asus eee PC 901 (2 of them). panics regularly.
Stock 11.10 install up-to-date with System Updates.
Is there any investigation I can perform, logs to capture, etc, that
might aid a resolution?
I've also got two Acer Revos with amd64 kernel, 11.10 stock with updates
I'm running an Acer Aspire Revo 3700 with an RT3090 installed. It
appeared reliable using the RT2860STA module, however, I've had a need
to scp files (100-150MByte) between two systems doing this has caused
the network interface to repeatedly crash with the following kernel
msgs:
rt28xx_close
