I experience that same issue. Does recognize newly inserted disc. If I
try to force it with Media Open Location, it eventually reports back
that it is unable to mount the disc, but yet, after several minutes of
hourglass, the disc finally shows up in the media list of banshee,
contrary to
in: xorg (Ubuntu)

Just fyi, I can duplicate this bug on my Dell desktop with NVIDIA, in
both Unity and Unity 2D, but it does NOT happen (can not be duplicated)
on my Gateway laptop with ATI video card. Both are 64 bit
