OK, we have updated to 14.04 and twinkle doesn't show any GUI. If I
launch it from command line, it loads the config and leaves in in a
terminal command live, where I can answer call typing answer.

It has been a while that I haven't noticed problems with the NIC. I do
not resume/suspend, and don't have a way to reproduce the problem to
check newer kernels.
I think it would be better to check whether apavlov or beric continue to
have suspend/resume problems.

Hi,
I'm running 10.04 LTS up-to-date. I have this problem too, after a cold
boot to Ubuntu, sometimes (not always) evolution doesn't start properly;
I run it from the mail menu and I can see the evolution process with ps
-ef|grep evolution but no GUI window appears.
I have to kill all evolution
We're are also having this problem in a machine.

Hi Mathieu,
I just tried again closing laptop's screen to see what happens:
- External screen goes black without shutdown info
- Laptop powers off after about 30-60s
- It doesn't wake up when I open the screen or hit any key
- It turns on when I hit power button.
- Normal startup happens, but

After re-enabling the interfaces, it seems that the setting is correctly
remembered in the next reboots. It seems some kind of glitch in an
update or failed resume. Can try to sleep the laptop resume to see
wether this is repeatable.

Today the problem has appeared again. Seems that it happened because I
turned on the laptop without cabled network, and connected the cable
after loging in. Network didn't work, and NetworkManager reported cabled
network as not connected.
Same errors about memory appeared in the command line.
Ok, this is a little embarrassing/strange.
I left yesterday the laptop turned off and recharging battery.
Today I turned it on, and voilĂ , cabled NIC works perfectly.
It is very strange, as yesterday's init (thursday) was the 2nd time
