Having a second look I found the mitigation cleaning up the filename
with the help of: `tr --delete --complement '[:print:]`
So it is obvious that the characters breaking `find … -name` are non-
printable characters.

So for me the situation with 4.8.0-53 is that in contradiction to 4.8.0-49 the
system is working again and doesn't suffer from broken network configuration.
So it isn't a blocker any more.

To circumvent this problem I backport jarjar 1.4+svn142-6 from zesty.

Debugging the script apt-key I found that the problem is triggered by
gpg.
The following command is failing:
cat /tmp/step_data | gpg --yes --ignore-time-conflict --no-options
--no-default-keyring --homedir /tmp/tmp.jtTZwIQ6EI --no-auto-check-
trustdb --trust-model always --keyring

If I remove any of the keys so that 38 or less keys are in

Similar problem.
Kernel log (dmesg) doesn't contain the error message Queue 2 failed to
flush - but the ping probes show a repeating breaks.
64 bytes from

-wifi-driver-is-not-working-in-ubuntu-14-04/455512#455512] hasn't
solved the problem here.
