I use i386 kubuntu 14.04.
Today I updated my system including security patch of cups-client, cups-common,
libcups2, cups-bsd etc.
After update printing to a remote cups server doesn't work (no cups
localy installed).
Normaly the system find in /home//.cups/client.conf
we are having serious problems with the l2tp speed, tried different
combinations of servers (xl2tpd and accel-ppp) and clients (based on
xl2ptd) and never getting a speed above 10 Mbit.
last test was client on lan - server on lan - 100Mbit internet link:
If you have the cloned git repository, you can use git revert to roll
back a specific commit
git revert f4d4ffc03efc864645b990e1d579bbe1b8e358a4
If you downloaded a tarball from kernel.org you need to have the .patch
file for the commit id above and use 'patch -R' to revert the patch.

I have a similar problem, Ubuntu 12.04, mountall 2.36.4. I have a file-
system (/data) with 44 sqfs-images and the mountpoints for them.
In the fstab I mount first the filesystem
/dev/vg2/datalv /data ext4 noatime 0 2
and later the images
/data/sqfs/x01.sqfs /data/x/x/x01
We got a similar problem. When you start libreoffice, printing work,
after a short time, around 5 min, you can't print from libreoffice any
more.
System kubuntu 12.04 x86 with kde 4.9.
We're printing over remote cups (cups.client), but we a local cups
server the same problem appears too.

22500 frames) with mousewheel (without key, shift key, ctrl key, alt

Mathieu, the new packages fix the issue for me and nm-applet hasn't
crashed. I am not seeing the red box that Stefan mentioned (i do see it
with gnome-power-manager applet though, but that has happened before
your updates as well)

I can reproduce this by running 'sudo gtk-update-icon-cache -f -q
/usr/share/icons/gnome' (takes 2 runs usually). The last nm-applet
update didn't fix it.

i looked into this a little bit more and the driver is still fairly new and
uses a firmware blob from realtek.
updating the kernel won't help much, as the firmware is distributed within
ubuntu.
you could download the driver from realtek (there is a new version from
2010/10/25) and compile it
this is still an issue for me as of kernel 2.6.37-rc1. i have been
trying every fix suggested here in the last few months but i keep
getting distortion on every 5th reboot or so. reloading the module
_always_ helps.
