I've got the same laptop, but it's not running Ubuntu now. However the
bug is still present in Debian Squeeze. If nobody else reports in a few
days, I'll boot Natty from live CD to confirm.

I've just got the same bug on two machines - one running Ubuntu Lucid
and another with up-to-date Debian testing (Squeeze). Similar results
with GUI front-ends and command line tools, so it's clearly a back-end
issue.

Ipset package is unusuable, but you can get this software another way:
- install package xtables-addons-source
- build it with module-assistant auto-install (you can shorten it to m-a a-i)
xtables-addons
--
ipset is not useful in ubuntu, because kernel and iptables do not support it.
Public bug reported:
For a few years now these packages were unusable:
- ipset: contains userspace tool, but no iptables modules, see #79182
- netfilter-extensions doesn't compile, see #320549
Package xtables-addons is a perfect replacement for these two. A dpkg
installation of xtables-addons

I nominated this bug for server papercuts. The fix is trivial and the
issue is annoying to everyone trying to use this package.

There's a package xtables-addons-source in Karmic and Lucid. This one
compiles fine, contains the same modules and some more. I think this
package shoud be removed and xtables-addons should have Replaces:

Just today I saw this bug again on kernel 2.6.27-11-server (forgot to
blacklist ipmi_si). I can't test development version on my box since
it's a production server. My other machines don't show it, probably it's
related to a specific hardware.

kipmi0 uses 100% cpu
That's right, I used pre-release for a few weeks before stable came out.
I can help to test the conversion, I recently switched to Evolution as
my production PIM, so I can create, delete and move around files in
Kontact without much hassle. What should I do to get more info?

The same problem happens to me, but not all the time. The machine can
run for days without kipmi0 even showing up in top. But once it starts
using 100% of CPU, it's there until reboot.
I've blacklisted ipmi_si in /etc/modprobe.d and never seen this again.
However, it happened infrequently, so I

I think I didn't write my report very clearly, what I meant is:
Each entry in scorefile has 3 parts in the dialog window: properties
(name, groups, expiry date), conditions (from, subject and other), and
actions. Part 1 and 2 works fine, part 3 is gone or can even cause knode
to crash.
