I'd say reboot and then remove that file (/etc/passwd.lock), could be a

Should the fix be taken from there and SRU'd back to Maverick and Lucid

In Natty there is this for checking if the user/group exists:

Should this then be corrected in Natty also and then it can be SRU'd ?

As far as I can tell, there was a rc7~1ubuntu3.3 version which was buggy
so 3.4 was put in -proposed I guess with the fix. That fix was later

I can confirm the segfault with the same Fedora 1 install. It doesn't

As far as I can tell, there was a rc7~1ubuntu3.3 version which was buggy
so 3.4 was put in -proposed I guess with the fix. That fix was later
taken out in rc7~1ubuntu3.5 in favor of something else.
I'm running rc7~1ubuntu3.5 for a year now on my Hardy, with x509
certificates and ccd and I did not
I've tested the package from -proposed according to the test case and it
seems to work. Below some details.
- set up test-list with user1 and user2 as test users, and user3 NOT a member
- sent a mail to the list, like this:
HELO localhost
MAIL FROM: us...@hh-mailman.narancs.net
RCPT TO:
I can confirm the segfault with the same Fedora 1 install. It doesn't
even get to 50%, it segfaults way earlier. In fact I tried this:
- kvm-img create -f qcow2 /store/KVM/test.qcow2 2G
- gi...@voy:~$ sudo LC_ALL=C
PATH=/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/bin:/usr/sn:/sbin:/bin
I've managed to reproduce the crash 3 consecutive times, like this:
- installed dnsmasq on the host (ubuntu 10.04 64bit), and started it
like this:
/usr/sbin/dnsmasq -d -x /var/run/dnsmasq/dnsmasq.pid -udnsmasq -7
/etc/dnsmasq.d,.dpkg-dist,.dpkg-old,.dpkg-new --dhcp-

connect 3 or more different openvpn clients (from Windows, Debian, and Ubuntu).

Did some basic testing of the package from -proposed on Lucid 32bit.
Seems to work just fine. Tests I did:
- basic clamscan/clamdscan scanning
- virus scanning with amavisd-new (both clamd and clamav - backup scanner -
modes)
- clamfs scanning
- pyclamd (both tests, according to

ANYBODY could access those files, not just clamav-daemon. And that might
not be desirable :)
