This issue effects all Intel Core i5 Thinkpads. This happens on the T410
X210 I have here. There is a kernel oops after the first suspend, this
is ultimately leading to the reboot.
The issue is worst as after the oops the usb ports are also unusable
after the first suspend. So the kernel oops

I have put together a dkms deb package for 8.04 to add support for the
BCM5716 BCM5716s. It will install generate a new initramfs as well.
After install reboot and your ready. Will also be submitting patches to
get these into the next 8.04 SRU kernel.

machine cut on. That could be your issue..if the rfkill switch is on then

Trying to reproduce the behavior from Network Manger has proved not very
easy. In the code this happens when network manager is trying to set the
host name.
I have summited a patch upstream. To at least fix the invalid hostname
file. I have attached patch below.

/etc/hosts using Fedora with the following steps:
- remove hostname set from /etc/sysconfig/network
- remove all contents of /etc/hosts
- reboot
- Network manager puts invalid /etc/hosts

state where Network Manger will try and fall back. But basically if the

Looks as though the card is working. There is actually disscussion
around the WiMAX part of the card on the Intel WiMax mailing list. Intel is
looking to try and resolve these issues. You can view the archives and
subscribe here:
The issue here is that Win7 now requires a secured connection (think
ssh) to get to the smb share (password protected or not). Comment #19
eludes to the problem. Not sure if supported by Samba yet.

Apparently it's not as easy to reproduce but the code is in Network
Manager that is producing an invalid /etc/hosts . Will find code path (post it)
and hopefully an easy way to trigger it. Apparently the steps above where not
enough.
