This bug should be re-opened. I am using Oneiric, ettercap version 0.7.3
and am still having this problem. My backtrace is a bit different from
the one above, however, the segfault also occurs for me in
gdk_window_set_geometry_hints ().

I am experiencing the same issue. As Dan wrote in #17, regardless of
whether this is caused by using a router, and can be fixed by
plugging directly into the modem etc. it is still a major bug that needs
