First I thought it was a problem with the Firefox build from the Mozilla
Security PPA but now I have the same problem with the build from the official
repo as well.
Next guess was profile-sync-daemon but after removing it Firefox still doesn't
restore tabs.
Disabling all add-ons and extensions
Still persistent in Saucy Salamander.
It's sad that this is still not implemented.

I tried to install Botanicula (game) (32 bit and 64 bit version) but when I try
to launch it I get an error saying Error loading the runtime
(libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0: cannot open shared object
You can for example open the update-manager.desktop file located
either in /usr/share/applications/ or ~/.local/share/applications with
gedit and delete the line starting with X-Unity-IconBackgroundColor.
This gives you back the chameleonic colour for the specific launcher
icon.

I don't get the reason why it's invalid. Because we don't use the default icons
so our icons don't meet the hardcoded colours?
So it's a Nautilus/Software Center/Software Updater bug? Or who is hardcoding
the colours?
To me it seems not so very logical to use fixed colours for certain
Updating libnux-4.0.0 and dependencies from the aforementioned PPA
didn't fix the bug for my GM45 graphics chip.

As I wrote in Gnome Bugzilla it's pretty sad that this won't be fixed.
I thought maybe like for other additions in the gnome-control-center
this could be also done by Ubuntu. For example the cursor with my Magic

Meanwhile I made a clean install of 12.04 and I'm still having this problem.
Also I can say that it isn't the compiz-plugins-extra package as I didn't
install it. So I guess it's something wrong with compiz in general (window
placement/recovery as I said before).
Both of my laptops are Lenovo
I had to deactivade the additional animation addons from the compiz-
plugins-extra package because it caused unity to crash and after doing
so the strange window restoration is gone. So maybe the bug is related
to this package (but I'm wondering because for mini/maximize I set

In Oneiric the appmenu is really nice but the reported bug still
persists.
Wouldn't it be possible to have the menu in the title bar of non-
maximized windows so it would be consistent with the menu always being
attached to the top of the window and save the space of a seperate menu.

With two panels can't click on breadcrumb navigation buttons on
May be just stopping NetworkManager isn't enough. I did the replacement
with wicd on to different laptops and they are both fast at shutdowwn
again. For me the console messages looked like this: 'nm-
dispatcher.action: Caught signal 15, shutting down'.

When you look at Gloobus (another preview application for Nautilus),
there you can set the theme to current gtk-theme. I hope that this would
be possible for Suhi as well.

Why can't the Dash use regular buttons of the used theme? Would make it
a lot more consistent. I know themes like 'Adwaita' would be a little
bit to big, but for certain themes there could be adjusted buttons.
These buttons were the first thing I thought Yuck, who put these
there.

When are the effects shown in the videos are coming to Ubuntu? In
Oneiric with all the newest updates (proposed included) I still have the
orange rectangle preview like in Natty.

What I just noticed is that everything in the corrupted windows seems to
be in the right place and just the view is corrupted. As you can see in
the image the cursor is much lower than the selected tab, in the place
where the tab should actual be.
