I just dist-upgraded to 2.6.28-11-generic. Now I can't even start
Kompozer:
$ kompozer
*** buffer overflow detected ***: /usr/lib/kompozer/kompozer-bin terminated
=== Backtrace: =
In my case, it may crash or it may just hang when I try to open the
Recent Documents drop-down list from the File menu.
The only log message I can find is in /var/log/apport.log:
apport (pid 15554) Sun Mar 15 17:24:17 2009: called for pid 15550, signal 11
apport (pid 15554) Sun Mar 15 17:24:17
There is hope. Since I upgraded to Jaunty 2.6.28-8, I do not see this
problem any more. Nor in 2.6.28-9. I'm running a 16-bit version, tho.

I have this right after login on a 32-bit JJ alpha 4. It also seems to
occur after a crash of something like Kompozer (which is another, more
annoying problem).

I have the same sort of problem with Jaunty alpha 4. Kompozer seems to
break in a different way every time. Often, there is a message that
nepomuk has broken at the same time, so maybe that's the basic problem.
I just tried Kompozer again and it died after a few seconds. Funny thing
is it seemed
Odder still. Kompozer was not running. I was using Brasero (hoping it
would work...), adding image files to write to a disk. I had added 328
files and started to add 63 more when ... poof, Brasero disappears and I
get a message saying Kompozer has crashed!
I suspect it is not just Kompozer at
Oops, zosX is correct. My problem is a much simpler one. I didn't have
the directory created for the mount point. Don't know how that was
forgotten.
My bad. Sorry. And thanks.
