There's nothing in my xorg.conf, but this is an Intel 945 GME chipset, so I guess the intel driver. FWIW, the hardware is an MSI Wind U100 laptop with 1024x600 resolution display and 1.6 GHz Atom processor. OOo 3.0 is unusually slow relative to the rest of the system. -- OpenOffice.org 3.0 slow

Just tried -- makes no difference, even after restarting OOo. In any case, the 1s redraw time I mentioned may be exaggerated. It's a split second, but long enough to notice and certainly long enough to capture mid drawing. I suspect the video driver is misconfigured, since I only get ~500fps in
