i was to fast to declare the bug fixed. i just saw that the problems
with the buttons persists after the gtk+ update (2.18.1). Just closing
editor windows (x) as described in an other bug report was fixed.

I'm affected by this bug too. It is really annoying and may be a real pain in
the ass for the average user. In Europe (especially here in Austria) internet
connection with GPRS/UMTS becomes quite ubiquitous. As long as NetworkManager
doesn't manage ppp connections reliably it isn't wise to let
The xulrunnerpatch didn't fix the bug for me. I had to disable the offscreen
pixmaps to get rid of the bug.
Can there be any downsides in disabling this xaa option?

I rebooted the computer at 08:36 and suspended it afterwards and woke it up at
08:40.
It seems that smbd doesn't restart after waking up after suspend.

I can confirm this bug too. with a radeon x700 mobile..
the screen freezes after some random mouse action and only the mouse pointer is
available from then on. but no actions (mouse buttons or keyboard) get through.
