Btw, when I wrote freeze I mean black screen (or the same background
grub used, if I activated the graphical menu to boot), and no keyboard
response (not even keyboard leds can be altered with eg num lock key)

Is there an easy way to do it without messing up my karmic? I mean, I
can compile empathy 2.29.6 for sure, if it compiles without too much
dependency problems (I have karmic) and no other stuffs like telepathy

however it always crashing if I run just alone) so I made the log with
issuing nautilus -q inside a terminal to make it quit after a while.

system on a test machine. After upgrading I can't log in into the gnome
environment, all I can see is my background picture and the mouse
cursor. According to the output of command ps launched from text

Ok, I've rebooted my machine. Running kernel now:

When I launch pavucontrol and I try to mute (or change the volume, by
the way) at playback tab, pulseaudio crashes. Log got from pulseaudio is
attached. This is a fresh jaunty system running on 32 bit x86 box.

I have this problem too, with jaunty on 32-bit x86. Pidgin package version:
1:2.5.4-2ubuntu2 Not always (but quite often) if I click on the close button of
the new mail window (which is there because I've clicked on the new mails at
