I don't have a KVM switch. It sometimes detects the resolution and
sometimes not.
I have a lot of reports of the same bug. It's a common topic in the
forums, though I haven't been able to find a working solution.
I'm using a Toshiba Satellite L655 and I'm having the same issue with
Ubuntu 11.04. The battery isn't detected at all.

Being able to drop icons into expo view doesn't mean that you still won't be
able to focus on a window and drop it where you want after some seconds. Both
things are perfectly compatible. But most of the time you just want to drop the
icon anywhere on the app and you have to wait to
When I try to use dual monitor set up I'm geting a black screen in both
while still seeing the mouse.
Disconnecting the display leaves me with a black screen in my laptop.
Curiously restarting makes both screens show Ubuntu turning off loading
in correct resolution each.

It makes no sense to have to drag them to the icon, then hover to the
expoed window and wait it to focus. There are too many 2 second waits.
Solution: User should be able to drag files into windows while on expo
view.

Intuitively many users will drop the file while on expo view, it is a
must to be able to do it or a lot of people will end up frustrated.

In unity when a user hovers an item over an app in the dock after a few
moments all running instances of that app are shown in expo view. That's
what I meant.
When this happens the user is most likely to drop the file in the window
he wants right away. Which is completely understandable.

I can replicate the bug in my set up.
I get the correct resolution but when I extend the monitors I can only
move the mouse to the secondary screen.
Also sometimes it stops prompting for the correct resolution on the
secondary monitor preventing me from using it neither as a extended
display nor
I get a ridiculous amount of bugs trying to use a secondary display not
to mention extended desktop which I can't get to work at all. Sometimes
it just shows the secondary screen black, sometimes it shows a panel,
sometimes the primary screen has a wallpaper but the other doesn't and
sometimes
I don't think it will work in Gnome2 however I'll try to test it now
running 11.04 in failsafe mode.
I suppose it should be reported in Natty bugs instead of Unity but for
some reason the Report button takes me to a wiki instead of letting me
report it.

I think it should be changed to look like the separator next to the
notification area. So the theme is more consistent. It would be nice to
unify them so that we don't have problems in the future.
